Jeffrey Filbert is a painter, sculptor, printmaker, and poet. As a poet, he often writes about life in the art studio, whether in memory as a young artist starting out or in the present day. The work is personal, both with depth and the lightness of touch by someone who can emphasize the joy in their life over the sorrow. This quirky, inspired collection of poems and prints will leave you refreshed by their clarity and lyricism.
Although Jeffrey’s artistic background is in realism, his curiosity takes him to explore other possibilities in art and work with different media, including sculpture, printmaking, and ceramics. Mr. Filbert has participated in numerous arts shows locally and throughout the country. His works are represented in private and public collections, including the San Angelo Museum of Art in Texas, PAFA Fellowship Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, Camden County Cultural and Heritage Collections, Gloucester County College, and City Halls of Stone Harbor and Camden in New Jersey. He was a recipient of the New Jersey Council for the Arts Grant for Sculpture in 2007 and Peter’s Valley Craft Farm Residency Grant in 2008.

Jeffrey Filbert studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. In his last year of study, he won the prestigious Scheidt Traveling scholarship that he used to further his classical studies in museums throughout Europe.
